Millinery

I made a spoon bonnet (1858-1860). A spoon bonnet is called such as the shape it resembles on the face is a spoon. I used buckram, a stiff cotton cloth with a loose weave, calico, light pink stretch velvet. From my research I found that flowers were often used to decorate bonnets from 1858-1860.
Then I made a felted hat from ornate wooden hat block and a plum coloured felt.
